CLIVE Dunn and Chris Grimshaw face their own personal D-Day in London tomorrow, before Clitheroe can name their Wembley team to take on Brigg Town in Sunday's FA Vase final.
Blues joint boss Denis Underwood plans to give both men fitness tests during a Saturday training session, though he is hopeful about their prospects.
Dunn has a knee injury, while Grimshaw has bruised ribs. If the duo come through tomorrow's test, it means that Clitheroe will have virtually a full-strength squad available.
Paul Mullin and back-up keeper John Morrey are both cup tied which means, in effect, that Underwood - a veteran of more than 500 games in goal for the club - is stand-by keeper in case anything unforeseen happens to Carlo Nash before Sunday. Clitheroe have done their homework on the opposition but Underwood, who left with the official party for London this morning, said:
"To be honest, I am not too bothered about Brigg. I know if we perform as we can, then we will be all right.
"We've got to get everyone in the right frame of mind and the mood is good at the moment.
"Although we intend to enjoy the weekend, our number one priority is to win the final. If we don't win, it won't be anything like as enjoyable."
Clitheroe's squad is: Nash, Rowbotham, Otley, Smith, Baron, Westwell, Lampkin, Grimshaw, Rouine, Butcher, Darbyshire, Dunn, Taylor, Hill, Riley, Pilkington, Lawson.
