BOLTON people are being invited to star in a TV drama being shot this summer as part of a joint venture.
The Wolfenden Writers and the Wolfenden Drama Group, based in Halliwell, and the Bolton College TV and video production team have got together as a new group, Forge.
And in July and August at locations around Bolton and in the Lake District, it will be "Lights! Camera! Action!" when Forge's full crew get together for the production.
Tutor Richard Marlow said: "The thrust of this project is to give local young people a chance to show how they can produce work comparable to anything that national TV can produce." The project, which has developed through links with Bolton's community education service, has applied to the Community Enterprise scheme for cash and is also looking for local sponsorship.
In the meantime, auditions will be held on Saturday at the Wolfenden Centre from 10am.
Director Karen Buck said they were looking for women aged 18 to 30 and men in their 40s, plus men and women of all ages as extras.
