SO Community Health Council Chief Nigel Robinson raps nurses for complaining about the proposed park and ride scheme for staff at Blackburn Infirmary (LET, May 6).
I hope that, in his wisdom and as a former nurse, he had looked at the problem from a nurses's viewpoint and not just that of the patients' watchdog.
Of course this scheme will add more time to the nurses' day and may mean changes in shifts and their orientation to patients on the wards.
Don't forget, many more support staff at the Infirmary will be affected by this scheme. Working in the health service is a caring profession, not a business that produces goods for sale.
Look after the ones who look after you - and listen to what the nurses and staff have to say.
W FEARON (Mr), Harwood Lane, Hoddlesden, Darwen.
