RICHARD Green was preparing for a return to Robin Hood country at Haslingden today.
Lancashire's 20-year-old all-rounder, who grabbed five wickets on the first day of the Second Eleven Championship match against Sussex, was yesterday given the news that he has been included in the squad for the first team game against Notts at Trent Bridge which starts tomorrow.
Green made his Championship debut against Surrey at The Oval at the end of last season, then took six for 41 in the three day pre-season game against Yorkshire at Old Trafford and is expected to replace South African all-rounder Steve Elworthy in the Lancashire side.
But Lancashire's seconds were battling to save the game today after being bowled out for 133 and conceding a 21-run first innings lead.
