BRIDGE managed only a draw in this final game of the season, but it was enough to secure the Unibond League Premier Division championship at the first time of asking.
Mathematically, as the afternoon started, Boston had an outside chance of catching the leaders, but even their 3-0 win at Blyth Spartans failed to eliminate their inferior goal difference.
For Bridge the game was effectively all over after the first ten minutes.
Dave Leaver gave the home side the lead on six minutes, but his effort was short-lived.
Liam Watson equalised for Witton Albion only two minutes later. The rest was stalemate.
A great season comes to an end ... the Vauxhall Conference must wait, but the Irongate fans have a lot to look forward to.
