FANS without tickets were facing a night in the cells if they tried to get into Torquay's ground for Burnley's promotion play-off match.
The warning came from the Devon and Cornwall police, who were launching a large-scale operation to stop an invasion of fans without tickets.
Burnley Police Chief Superintendent Clive Fothergill, said: "If fans travel to Torquay without tickets they will be wasting their time."
