It was derby day for Bury and Brooksbottoms in the Manchester Association but the local cricket rivals didn't really resolve anything.
David Leach (54) led his hosts Bury to 153 as Mark Chilton took 5 for 51, but Brox held on doggedly to be 138 for 9 at the close.
Edenfield thought they had made the most of their one match at the Ribblesdale League by reaching 207 for 8, John Kershaw 54. But visitors Settle raced to a Ramsbottom Cup win by eight wickets, professional Paul Beech unbeaten on 101.
Due to the composition of the Bolton Association, Elton had only one game, but the Cross Cup holders (185 for 7) made no mistake against Adlington (112), Gareth Williams 7 for 52.
Simon Marsh (6 for 23) and Colin Grouch (4 for 26) blasted out Darcy Lever for 51 when they replied to Walshaw's all out 103.
The previous day Walshaw held on at 150 for 7 at Golborne (108 for 7).
Elsewhere it was double headers all round with Bolton League Greenmount on 146 for 7 chasing Egerton's 255 for 4 on Saturday.
The next day the villagers reached 195, Kevin Geyer 57, but visitors Westhoughton won by five wickets.
Substitute professional Peter Sleep has done a superb job for Ramsbottom in the Lancashire League but his 62 runs and 3 for 54 couldn't prevent defeat at the hands of runaway leaders Lowerhouse.
Twenty-four hours later Kiwi pro Chris Harris jetted into town and helped the Rams (169 for 9) to a comfortable Worsley Cup win over Richton (93).
Radcliffe grabbed their first points of the season in the Central Lancashire League. They passed Royton's 158 for 9 on Saturday for the loss of only four wickets, John MacAuley 52 no, and won in the last over at Unsworth (205 for 6) when Robert Haynes was unbeaten on 80.
It was a bad weekend for Unsworth who were 100 all out at Littleborough on Saturday, the home side winning by nine wickets.
Mike Warden's unbeaten 115 put Stand (244 for 6) in the driving seat against Ashton (165 for 7) to offset an all out 71 at Milnrow (77 for 2) on Sunday.
Prestwich (201 for 3) got the better of Woodhouses (198 for 7) in Saturday's Lancashire County League game while Longsight (81) were shot out by Chris Humphrey's 7 for 22 chasing Woodbank's 114.
The following day Prestwich (208 for 8) clung on at Thornham (251 for 2) as Woodbank (173 for 7) saw off Sale Moor (85), David Usher 64 and 6 for 35.
