COMPANY bosses have been told to have at least one good laugh a day at work if they want to be good employers.
Business guru Dr Mortimer Feinberg offered the advice when he spoke at a dinner organised by the East Lancashire Training and Enterprise Council for firms involved in Investors in People.
He said: "To be successful in business you need self awareness, the ability to recognise feelings as they happen in you and in others around you, so that you can respond quickly.
"It is also about being optimistic, self-motivated and controlling impulses."
The 72-year-old professor is one of the world's leading experts on business psychology.
He praised the idea behind Investors in People as a way of building better communications within a company and said modern managers should not be macho.
