HANDS off our postal service was the message local Euro MP Gary Titley issued in Brussels last week to the European Commission and the governments of the EU's 15 member states.
He voted against Commission plans to open the Royal Mail and other national postal services to private operators.
Labour MEPs are planning to launch a campaign with the support of the Communication Workers Union against the Commission's threat to the service.
