VOLUNTEER tree wardens in Bury are to branch out on next Thursday when they will be staging their first Tree Advice Evening.
It's a night for them to give members of the public a chance to find our more about trees and how the warden scheme works.
Designed to be an informal session the event will be staged from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Prestwich Library.
This is not a general complaints session but an opportunity for the public to meet with the wardens, seek their advice and obtain further information.
The volunteers act as the eyes and ears of the Council in their own particular areas and take part in a training programme designed to give them greater awareness about issues surrounding trees and legislation concerning them, including pest or disease problems.
