EFFORTS to attract more investment cash to Burnley will receive a boost next week.
The council will be exhibiting at Cities 96, a prestigious showcase exhibition in Sheffield for everyone involved in revitalising Britain's towns and cities.
It's a chance for council officers to spread the word about the benefits of investing in industry in Burnley.
Some influential people from central government and big business will be at the event, and a team from Burnley will be hoping to persuade them to spend money here.
Millions of pounds in government and European grants have already been attracted to Burnley.
The council's marketing manager, Russell Tebbutt, said: "Exhibiting at Cities 96 gives us the chance to raise Burnley's profile with key decision-makers - government ministers, civil servants and private investors.
"It will help us build on successes achieved so far in winning cash from the challenge fund and Europe."
