COMPANIES in Hyndburn are being offered an easy and free way to find their new recruits.
With more than a thousand 16-year-olds about to leave school in the area, staff from East Lancashire Careers Services Accrington office are asking employers to come to them with their vacancies.
Area manager Frances Prince, said: "We are ideally placed to match young job-seekers with local vacancies, offering a free and personalised service.
"Many employers want to know about educational achievements and training arrangements, and we can let them know what they mean."
Simon Jersey, the leading uniform producer, based in Wood Nook Mills, Bath Street, Accrington, uses ELCS Accrington office in recruiting its sewing machine operators.
Works manager Frank Willis said: "We are currently looking for four people who we can train as sewing machine operators.
"Once we've given the careers office all the details and they've entered them onto their computer network, they send along the people who match that type of work."
