THERE were more than 1,700 unfilled vacancies at job centres in East Lancashire last month.
Blackburn had the highest number at 745, a fall of 19 on March. Burnley saw 31 extra vacancies, taking the total to 449, while Accrington and Rossendale's total dropped by 46 to 507.
Clitheroe saw an increase of just one to 113 and Pendle had 341, up 77.
Overall in Lancashire, there were 6,013 unfilled vacancies, a rise of 485.
