RESEARCHER Steven Birtwistle is on the scent with the help of sniffer "guinea pigs" at Accrington and Rossendale College.
The psychology student is spending three weeks at the college carrying out a series of tests to see how different types of fragrances affect people's moods.
The former A-Level student at Accrington and Rossendale College graduated from Wolverhampton University last year and is now studying for his doctorate.
Students and staff at the Sandy Lane Centre are sniffing aromatherapy oils and then completing questionnaires.
