A TRIO of little kittens could be forgiven for being confused about their identity - they have the body of a cat and the curly tail of a pig!
The threesome have all followed in the footsteps of mother Bobby, whose unique tail has left vets and experts mystified.
Bobby, a stray, was adopted by Felicity and Brian Clark who found her outside their Arundel Drive home in Poulton earlier this year.
Felicity said: "We have never seen anything like it and with such a distinctive tail we were amazed nobody claimed her.
"Some of our friends said she must have damaged her tail when she was younger, but when three of her litter came out with curly tails we knew it couldn't be the case.
"They are all absolutely gorgeous and we call them the three little piggies." Not everyone in the Clark household is impressed, however, as Felicity explained: "Our tabbies Daisy and Shelley walk away from them even though Bobby tries to make friends with them.
"We think they are jealous of the kittens because they were here first."
Not that they will have to be jealous for much longer - new homes are being sought for Annie, Twinkie, Felix and their four brothers and sisters.
"It will be a shame to see them go, especially as they are just getting to the running around stage, but we just can't keep them," lamented Felicity.
Thankfully, the kittens' future looks set to be secured after Spillers expressed an interest in featuring them in an advertising campaign.
Brian said: "They seemed interested when I called them up. Now we are just waiting to hear from them with the details."
