RACING camels are going to be one of the many highlights at Burnley's summer carnival, now only 10 weeks away.
A spectacular array of events are being planned by Burnley Round Table to to make it a day to remember.
Most of the entertainment is now booked, and, for some brave souls, Mary Chipperfield's racing camels will provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience - because there's full audience participation!
Other attractions include a funfair, a stunt team, live bands, helicopter rides, dressage, stalls and children's rides.
The big day is Saturday August 3, and the fun starts at 11am with a procession of floats through the town centre and on to the carnival field at Towneley Park.
For those on the Internet there's also a carnival web site (http://www.subnet.co.uk/subinfo/carnival) and e-mail address (carnival@bridgecs.demon.co.uk).
