RAMSBOTTOM put an end to Lowerhouse's Lancashire League winning ways in an exciting and high-scoring match on Sunday.
Chasing 255 for victory, Lowerhouse looked to be on course with Shawn Flegler (39) and Chris Blezard (45) making good progress.
But when they fell in consecutive balls, the game swung back to the home team, and Lowerhouse finished on 200-9.
Burnley notched up a third win of the season thanks to their faster run rate in the game against Enfield at Turf Moor. The visitors made 165-5 as Rudra Singh bowled economically, and Burnley's 135-5 was enough to give them four points after rain stopped play.
Colne could not reach a reduced target of 109 from 29 overs in their rain-affected match with East Lancs and were beaten by 71 runs.
Nelson also lost a rain-affected match with Bacup. Chasing Nelson's total of 145, two stoppages reduced the target to 97, and Bacup finished on 101-4.
