A CUSTOM-MADE filter refurbishment plant has been shipped out to Thailand from East Lancashire.
The plant, ordered from B & M Longworth of Blackburn, is now being installed at a polyester film production factory near Pattaya.
In the past 12 months Longworth's machinery has also been installed in plants in China, Taiwan and Indonesia in deals together worth more than £1 million.
"The wide acceptance of our technology in the burgeoning economy of the Pacific Rim lends credence to our claim that it is the best in the world," said chairman Brian Longworth.
"Our customers in that region have been quick to appreciate the substantial savings they can make by adopting high tech refurbishment instead of replacing expensive components such as filters."
