STUDENTS at Burnley College will be fighting for survival in a bid to raise cash for the baby care unit at Burnley General Hospital.
Fifty students plan to join the army at Fulwood Barracks for a sponsored survival day in which they will face the challenges of an assault course and other activities including abseiling and shooting.
One of the organisers, Sheree Louise Parker, who is studying an advanced leisure and tourism course, said: "All members of our group will be going.
"We've put posters around the college and hope to have 50 participants on the day.''
The survival day has been arranged for Wednesday, June 12, when it is hoped that a significant sum will be raised for the baby care unit.
