THE War Research Society, run by serving and retired police officers and friends, assists in tracing of war graves and taking veterans, relatives and others to visit the battlefields, memorials and the last resting places of the fallen in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
We can also obtain photographs of war graves for those who cannot travel.
This year, we are taking parties to the Somme, Ypres, Passchaendaele, Verdun, Loos, Normandy, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Berlin, Colditz Castle, St Nazaire, Soltau, Belsen and the scenes of the Dambusters raid in Germany.
If any of your readers are interested, I will send details if they enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
