A BURGLAR pulled a knife on a brave householder last night.
The raider was disturbed kicking in a back door of a house in Gannow Lane, Burnley.
He was chased across the motorway and into Accrington Road where the home owner grappled him to the ground and removed his dark blue balaclava.
The offender then produced a knife with a 5in blade and threatened to stab the man.
He made off in the direction of Clough Street where police joined in the chase.
He jumped into factory premises in Paisley Street but could not be found. The police helicopter was called but was not able to trace the man.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the chase at 8.30pm or who knows of the man to contact them on 01282 425001.
