OWNERS of a new £1.5 million club in Blackburn say they have just one aim - to have the town's most glamorous nightspot.
Top names have been lined up for the launch party of Club Euro, in Cicely Lane, on Friday, including the outrageous Griff and Jay from Manumission and dance star Alison Limerick.
Griff and Jay once stunned an audience by having sex on stage during their act. But the organisers in Blackburn have slapped a no-nookie ban on the raunchy pair - in public, at any rate.
The club promises a spectacular sound and lighting system, dancefloors on several levels and stunning exotic dancers in cages. A seven-foot transvestite - apparently a Pamela Anderson look-alike - will be on the door and fashion police will "patrol" the venue throughout the night.
Club Euro was formerly Northern Lights, which became notorious for fighting and under-age drinking.
But new manager Mark Stancer said: "Northern Lights is dead. Nobody should think that we've just changed our name.
"The club has been gutted and we're starting from scratch. People who come here will be people who are into club culture, love dance music and enjoy having a good laugh. "There's a completely new staff and it will be like nothing ever seen in Blackburn before."
The club is based on the world-famous Ku in Ibiza. It will be open until 2am but bosses will be tryin g to get a late licence in the future so clubbers could stay until 4 or 6am.
Deputy manager Nick Harding said: "When you walk in you'll be blown away. We're going to be the most glamorous club in town.
"A lot of hard work has gone into this and we're in no doubt that after just one visit people will keep coming back for more."
Resident DJs will be Andy Wright and Dave Dunne from Kiss 102. On Saturday - "Blissed Out" night - Neil Hinde, from the chart-topping Lisa Marie experience, is the star guest, while Rio and Mars will be live on stage.
Each Wednesday from June 5 is Hustle, an under-16s party with a live group.
Pulse has 10 tickets to give away for next Friday's and Saturday's parties. Just answer this question.
At which Ibiza club did Griff and Jay DJ last summer?
The first 20 correct entries will receive a ticket for one of the nights.
