ADRIAN Heath is banking on the Burnley supporters to help him put together a more powerful squad ready to progress next season.
And that is why the Turf Moor boss is delighted with the early response to season-ticket sales as he prepares for his first full campaign in charge.
The more season tickets the club can sell, the stronger Heath's hand should be in the transfer market this summer.
"There are no guarantees in football but all I can say to our supporters is that I think we are going to have a good season," he said.
"I am confident we will be a far more competitive outfit than we have been for a couple of years.
"And, obviously, the more money that comes into the coffers, the more I will have to spend."
Heath has long been an admirer of the backing given to the team by the fans and enjoys an excellent rapport with them.
He feels the Turf Moor crowd will also have their part to play next season, adding: "I am confident about the season and I am sure they will give us the kind of support they always have done."
