HEALTH chiefs drew up an AIDS charter to prevent the spread of the disease in East Lancashire.
The new strategy was to be adopted throughout the North West. It was unveiled in Manchester by the regional health authority.
Regional medical officer Dr Tony Lang said that fears about AIDS were far more widespread than the disease itself. He said only a small amount of the population had been infected.
