A CLOSING round of 72 at Wentworth's West Course left Ged Furey tied for 60th place in the Volvo PGA Championship, won by Italian Ryder Cup golfer Costantino Rocca.
The Pleasington pro's level-par round gave him a total aggregate of 290, two-over-par, 16 shots behind the Italian who held off a strong challenge from Masters champion Nick Faldo.
"I was pleased to finish with a par round and, overall, have been delighted with the experience this week," said Furey, who today was partnering Pleasington captain Nick Lomas around Wentworth in the Pro-Captain Challenge Grand Final.
"My opening 76 and third round 75 were disappointing but to have been here this week, in this kind of company, has been fantastic."
