READERS with strong views on adoption and the social workers involved now have a chance to air their thoughts - and be heard.
This is because the long-awaited draft Bill covering adoption in this country and from abroad has recently been released by the Department of Health.
A three-month consultation period is now operating and we, along with many other interested organisations, are putting together our response. Readers, can, of course respond directly to the Department but a note to their MPs is likely to be the most effective.
The Campaign for Inter-Country Adoption is working to create a sensible, practical and effective system for adoption that helps children overseas who need, for all sorts of tragic reasons, to find a new family.
