ELECTRICITY worker Stephen Dean has picked up a safety award.
Stephen, of Clockhouse Grove, Burnley, is one of 40 employees around the country to receive Diplomas in Safety Management. The Norweb worker studied fire protection, occupational health and hygiene as part of the course.
"Proper training for safety professionals is vital for the success of British companies, particularly given the amount of new legislation emanating from Brussels," said James Tye, director general of the British Safety Council which backs the diploma .
"If we are to maintain a competitive edge over our trading partners, companies must ensure their operations are accident free."
