CALLOUS thieves are threatening to cut the lifeline of a young leukaemia victim.
During the last year two cars have been stolen from outside the home of Citizen-appeal boy Dylan Wildman.
In the latest attack vandals smashed windows of the family's Vauxhall and damaged the steering - leaving the brave youngster no way of getting to hospital for vital chemotherapy treatment.
Dylan's father, Russell, is now appealing for thieves to leave them alone.
"I don't know if we are just unlucky," he said "But it is getting beyond a joke when we can't get Dylan to hospital. If it is a vendetta I want it to stop now."
The heartless criminals attempted to steal the Wildman's car from Jubilee Street, Darwen, between 10.30pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday.
They were unsuccessful but the car was so severely damaged the family had to ask friends to take them to Pendlebury Children's Hospital in Manchester.
Last year Citizen readers helped to raise more than £2,000 to send the seven year-old - who is fighting leukaemia - on a trip of a lifetime to Disney World in Florida.
The battling youngster will know by Christmas if the intensive treatment he is receiving has been successful.
Anybody with information about the thefts should ring Darwen police on 701777.
