A NUCLEAR disaster would leave East Lancashire with 'nowhere to run,' was the warning from Lancashire County Councillor Louise Ellman. Lancashire is ringed by nuclear power stations and Mrs Ellman said that protection for the public was 'woefully inadequate.'
She warned that a disaster like the one at Chernobyl could lead to a catastrophe and it would be a 'mission impossible' to evacuate people to safety.
