A GOOD Samaritan who stopped to help a teenager, ended up with stab wounds in the stomach and chest. The incident occurred at about 6.30pm on Sunday, when a 21-year-old man driving to the Late Shop in Bowness Avenue, Clinkham Wood, spotted the young lad being attacked by a man in Kendal Drive.
The driver got out of his car, raced over to the scene and grabbed the attacker. The attacker then produced a knife and slashed out at the driver, who needed treatment at Whiston Hospital for two two-inch cuts to his stomach and chest.
The attacker is described as a stocky white male in his late 40s, about 5ft 10in with a close-cropped skinhead haircut, and a clean-shaven, round face with a three-inch scar across his right cheek. He wore a large sleeper earring with a cross in his left ear, a three-quarter length wax jacket and spoke with a Manchester accent.
Police would like to speak to the youth who was being attacked on Kendal Drive, or to anyone who may be able to help with their inquiries regarding this incident. CALL DC Phil Atherton on 0151 777 6082, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
