CHRIS Blezard's half century and Matt Hope's five-wicket haul set Lowerhouse up for another four points with a win at Accrington on Monday.
He hit 51 of the 123-8 total which proved one run too much for the home side. Hope took 5-17 as Accrington finished on 122-7.
Nelson continued their unhappy start to the season with defeat at the hands of Rishton. The Seedhill side made 102-9, a total which the visitors passed with five wickets remaining.
Teenagers Michael Brown, 16, and Jamie Brewster, 18, gave Burnley hope for the future in the match with Church - but not victory. Chasing 163, Brown made 58 and Brewster hit 43 but Burnley fell short on 148 all out.
Colne took five points from their victory over Rawtenstall. Openers Ben Johnson (61) and Darryl Halstead (50) were largely responsible for the total of 168-8, which was beyond the home team - they finished on 147-9.
Fixtures for Sunday (June 2): Bacup v Colne, Lowerhouse v Rawtenstall, Nelson v Ramsbottom, Todmorden v Burnley.
