A GIRL was seriously ill in hospital today after suffering head injuries in a road accident.
Four-year-old Nabila Ahmed was in collision with a Mini in Accrington Road, Blackburn, at 8.55 last night.
Nabila, of Longton Street, Blackburn, was taken unconscious to Blackburn Infirmary, but later transferred to the specialist Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool, where her condition was said to be "stable."
The girl is thought to have run into the road between parked cars near the Burgess Street junction.
Police said the driver of the Mini, whom they are not naming, was not to blame.
