CLOSING rounds of 68 and 71 by Stuart Andrew of Clitheroe hauled him back into contention yesterday in the Lagonda Trophy at Gogmagog Golf Club in Cambridgeshire.
But his total of 287 was good enough for only sixth position, four shots behind the winner Scott Collingwood from Carholme.
Paul Dwyer, also from Clitheroe, fell back after a second round 68, only managing 74 and 71 in the last two rounds for a 288 total and a share of eighth place. Both players are taking part in next week's Amateur Championship at Turnberry.
