YOUNG Kimberley Hill has only been showing her prize pooch, Lulu, since February, but she has already won a place in the semi-finals of Junior Handler of the Year competition.
Kimberley, 12, a pupil of Towneley High School, Burnley, dotes on her Lhasa Apso puppy Ragoosa Hula Balulu.
At a pet show in Rossendale, Kimberley was awarded a diploma given only to the top junior handlers in the country and she will take part in the semi-finals later this year at the Richmond Show in Surrey.
And when she showed her at the Ribblesdale Caravaners Exemption Dog Show, in Settle, they walked off with best puppy in show and the prize for the dog which looks most like its owner.
Her mum, Barbara, also won the prize for best fancy dress with her Lhasa Apso Ragoosa Fulla Fun 'Heidi' decked out as a rock star.
Best pedigree was a great dane shown by Karen Bullock of Queen Victoria Road, Burnley, and a 17-year old mongrel won best non-pedigree.
