NEW protests about possible sites for future housing in Hyndburn will be considered at a public inquiry in Accrington.
Two sets of objections have been received to modifications to the Hyndburn Borough Local Plan.
In Baxenden, residents are opposing the allocation of land to the north of Baxenden Cricket Club as an area of special restraint.
Local residents want the site left in the green belt which cannot be altered until 2011.
Meanwhile a Huncoat landowner wants two sites taken out of the green belt..
He claims that his two pieces of land between Huncoat village and the power station site are better suited to be areas of special restraint.
The inquiry is at Hyndburn Council offices, Eagle Street, Accrington, on Tuesday, July 2.
