The array of fund-raising has continued this week as the build-up to the 1996 Scanner Day next Saturday gathers pace.

This week's contributions included a £510 donation from Lisa Richardson, of Belper Street, Blackburn, who ran the London Marathon, and took the running total to £119,524.

And Blackburn Sunday Football League chipped in with a £200 donation to the appeal.
