ROCK fan Adam Smithson will get the chance to appear on stage with his world famous idols Bon Jovi, after winning a radio competition.
The 17-year-old still cannot believe he will be appearing on stage with the rock group later this Summer in the Hungarian capital Budapest.
And Adam, from Piccadilly Street, Haslingden, also won a staggering £5,000, in the competition organised by the national radio station Atlantic 252.
Adam, who is studying for a NVQ in motor vehicle repairs at Accrington and Rossendale college, is spending seven days on tour with the super group. He will stay in top hotels in Stuttgart, Vienna and Budapest on his whirlwind tour of the Continent.
Adam, who has two part-time jobs at a bakery and an electronics factory to help pay for driving lessons, is planning to buy a car with part of his prize money.
The teenager won the staggering prize after he recognised four records played together on the air and was the first to ring the radio station with the correct answer.
The delighted Adam said: "When the radio station rang me up on Wednesday and told me I had won the completion I just couldn't believe it.
"I was absolutely over the moon, I was gobsmacked and I'm still pretty speechless about winning.
"I still haven't come down to earth yet. It has still not sunk in that I will be going on stage with Bon Jovi."
Adam added: "I will get to take a friend, but I am still not sure who to take with me. The whole thing just still feels like some sort of dream."
