YOUR article about Calderstones Hospital (LET, May 20) did not say much about how it was used as a military hospital during and after the Second World War. I was wounded as our forces entered Germany in April, 1945, and was at Calderstones from August, 1945, until May, 1946.
During my stay, I was treated with the utmost care and consideration and have only the highest praise for all the doctors and nurses who cared for me.
I shall be at the 75th anniversary celebrations on June 15 to show my appreciation.
