PARENTS in East Lancashire whose children have been diagnosed as suffering from the rare Asperger's Syndrome have started a support group.
The condition is a form of autism. Symptoms include communication difficulties, lack of imagination and clumsiness.
Sufferers usually speak fluently, but may not take much notice of the reaction of people listening to them.
The new group will meet at Communi Care's Holly House Child Development Centre, Blackburn Road, Rishton.
At its inaugural meeting last month, two parents from the Blackpool Parent Group spoke of the need to raise awareness of Asperger's Syndrome. The next meeting is on June 10 at 7pm.
