I DON'T often agree with your editorial opinion, but with "Child catchers not the answer" (LET, June 3) I not only agree with your summation, but endorse everything you say.
How Jack Straw can even be thinking of such a scheme as curfews on children beggars belief. It is something that belongs strictly to the realms of make-believe.
I understand that his brief as Shadow Home Secretary is to prove he has some of the answers to the problems of society.
However, to adopt this amusing but muddled solution to juvenile and adolescent delinquency is completely off key for a responsible politician who, incidentally, has children of his own.
I would caution him to look at re-education of parents as well as disruptive behaviour in general.
