I READ with interest Mr W Meadows' latest spate of complaints.
May I say how disappointed I was that his name was conspicuous by its absence from the list of candidates for the last council elections.
I also note that his name does not appear on any of the committees of voluntary groups aimed at improving the facilities of the town.
I, like many of my generation, was taught to take positive action on any matter about which I felt strongly.
It was thought proper to do things for oneself and not to constantly complain about the failure of others to do things for you.
So come on Mr Meadows, utilise some of your excess time and energy to do something 'constructive' for your town instead of carping about the lack of activity of others.
