SCOTLAND braveheart Colin Hendry (pictured) was today battered and bruised after his country's stirring draw with Holland.

But the Rovers defender was back out training with his team-mates at their Stratford camp today and already relishing Saturday's clash with the Auld Enemy at Wembley.

Hendry was simply thrilled about his first ever appearance in a major finals and admitted to having a huge lump in his throat during "Flower of Scotland".

"I've never enjoyed the backing of support like we had from the Tartan Army," said Hendry.

"It was very special being out there and, having experienced it, I shudder to think what it will be like at Wembley.

"Our support will be like a 12th man.

"But there will be no pressure on us there. Everyone thinks we are rubbish, right?

"England will expect to win the game as that is all they have heard. We'll see.

"We played to our strengths against Holland where before things have backfired on us when maybe we have thought we are a bit better than we are.

"But for all the possession they had they were not bearing down on goal and that is a feat and a half against potential champions.

The Scotland players were today joined by their wives and families for an afternoon of relaxation.

"It will be good for us to see the families and I will have to play another game on the lawn today," he said.

"The wives and kids have had a lot of sacrifices to make in the last few weeks with us being here and in America, but they make them willingly," said Hendry.
