BOLTON Wanderers' wing wizard David Lee has denied he is on the move to Burnley.

Several reports over the past 24 hours have linked the Burnden Park winger to a Turf Moor transfer.

But today Lee put the record straight and told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "I've heard all sorts of rumours about me moving to either Preston, Blackpool or Burnley.

"But as far as I'm concerned I will be staying with Bolton.

"I've still got a year left on my contract at Burnden Park and at no stage has Colin Todd said I would have to leave. Obviously transfer speculation begins when you are not in the first team, and my opportunities were limited in the Premiership.

"But I am quite happy to stay and fight for my place at Bolton in Division One.

"I watched quite a few Burnley games last season and I went to Turf Moor quite a bit.

"But I've certainly not had any offer from Burnley. In fact, the only time I have spoken with Adrian Heath recently was at a sportsman's dinner.

Lee, though, would be the sort of exciting player to get Burnley fans talking and he added: "If Colin Todd indicated that he wanted me to leave then that situation could change.

"Then I would be only too interested in talking to clubs. But, at the moment, I expect to be reporting for pre-season training at Burnden Park on July 11."

Meanwhile, manager Heath was waiting to speak to Norwich midfield man Jeremy Goss on his return from a two-week holiday.

But Heath still appears deadlocked with his out-of-contract stars Gerry Harrison and goalkeeper Marlon Beresford.

"Gerry has turned down his two-year deal and I have not heard anything from Marlon," added Heath.

Bristol Rovers have rejected an £800,000 bid from Huddersfield for their top scorer Marcus Stewart, with player-manager Ian Holloway attempting to line the 23-year-old striker up with a Premiership club.

Stewart has spoken to Huddersfield boss Brian Horton and his transfer fee can be settled by a tribunal.
