A GROUP of Italian soccer supporters from Darwen enjoyed a pizza the action in Euro '96.
The fanatical fans, along with hordes of fellow expatriates and fans from the Old Country, took over Anfield's famous Kop as they witnessed their country's opening game against Russia.
The group of nearly 40 left the Victoria pub in Sudell Road for the match in Liverpool.
And they celebrated into the night as the Italians notched a 2-1 victory.
Supporter Mario Ceraldi croaked: "I have lost my voice through shouting so much during the game.
"It was a brilliant day and everybody was well behaved. The result was the icing on the cake."
The Italian fans are now preparing for their team's second game on Friday against the Czech Republic.
