LEYLAND were annihilated at Kendal at the weekend - dismissed for a paltry 30 and remain entrenched at the bottom of the table.
Kendal's opening bowlers, Alan Potts and Meynick Pringle, took 6 for 13 and 4 for 16 respectively. The home side only took 8.4 overs to knock off the required runs for victory, and lost only two wickets in the process.
Preston were also easily beaten at West Cliff, despite making 187-9 in their allotted overs. Captain Graham Standring top scored with 37.
Lancaster remain three points clear of St Annes at the top of the table, while former leaders Chorley fell further behind after their winning draw at Sandy Lane against Leyland DAF. Batting first, Chorley made 199-4 with James Fazackerley top scoring with 61 and Nigel Heaton making 57.
Nevertheless, they could not bowl DAF out and they finished at 127-5.
Morecambe won by seven wickets with their South African professional Steven Pope making an undefeated 77.
