A PROJECT to try to win lottery cash to regenerate Clitheroe Castle and its grounds has been given the go-ahead by Ribble Valley councillors.
The policy and finance committee heard that proposals have been prepared for a bid under the Urban Parks programme.
And a full press campaign to launch the scheme and encourage public consultation is to begin tomorrow
The Rainbow Reference Group, a group of councillors and council officers set up to find the "crock of gold", will meet press and the local community in the council chamber tomorrow.
They will examine plans and preparations for the project which could take one of the area's best known landmarks, into the 21st century.
