RESIDENTS demanded rapid action to end dangers on a stretch of country road.
But a police spokesman told a public meeting that an 'access only' section along Wheatley Lane Road, Barrowford, would not be a solution.
"It would be virtually unenforce- able," said Inspector David Holden. "It would not be accepted at any price."
Most popular idea was to narrow the road carriageways.
