A TRUCK gearbox company has grown from humble origins to employ 16 people.
Truck Transmissions Ltd on the Roman Road Industrial Estate was set up in 1987 by Lee Turner and Geoff Drugan, specialising in reconditioning Scania gearboxes.
Now it employs 16 thanks to the help of a DTI regional selective assistance grant awarded on the creation of the first 11 jobs.
All HGVs are catered for by the Blackburn company, which offers a free removal and fitting service with all exchange units.
