STAFF at a Burnley company don't mind going back to school, especially when it means they get to take classes on a luxury liner!
Two lucky members of staff at Lanway Corporate Business Systems are on board the P & O cruise ship Canberra for a series of workshops aimed at "increasing management effectiveness".
The luxurious setting is apparently condusive to training and there is no distraction from mobile phones, which don't work at sea.
Sales director James Rigg said: "It is a good relationship building opportunity. Meetings start at 7.30 am and continue until late at night, so every effort is made to make the most of the time.
"It is also a great experience, since most of us could not afford a cruise on the Canberra."
The cruise is only one example of Lanway's commitment to staff training.
Over the past year, every single member of staff has gone on at least one training course, with the majority having completed more.
