REGARDING the clean up on Blackburn station, while I don't agree with the Spanish student comparing it with Madrid station, I feel that he is right to condemn the cleaning up of the station.
This requires all travellers to walk backwards in order to see any improvements, while the station itself is an absolute turnoff.
You arrive at a semi-derelict platform, the bottom end of which is covered in pigeon droppings.
Your photograph which showed "£2 million project paves the way" should also have included photos of the platform and the back of it.
All I can say is wake up Blackburn, not patch up, the clogs and shawl generation has gone.
Visitors staying and passing through see the platform on arrival - not the front of the building.
